HP has announced the OmniBook 5 14, a new Windows laptop starting at $699 that directly targets Apple's MacBook Neo. According to 9to5Google, the machine pairs a 14-inch OLED display with an ultra-thin chassis, aiming to undercut Apple on price while offering premium screen technology.
The launch comes months after Apple's MacBook Neo disrupted the budget PC market with aggressive pricing. HP's response is notable for bringing OLED to a lower price point, though several key specifications remain undisclosed.
HP OmniBook 5 14 specs and design

Connectivity includes two full-function USB-C ports and a headphone jack. A Full HD camera with Windows Hello support handles facial recognition. Audio is handled by dual microphones and Poly Studio-tuned speakers.
