Leaked retail listings and images have given us the clearest look yet at the Fitbit Edge, a new midrange fitness tracker from Google. According to assets shared by Android Headlines and reported by The Verge and 9to5Google, the Edge sits between the minimalist Fitbit Air and the full Pixel Watch line.
The leak follows an accidental marketing slip in August and an FCC listing last month, suggesting a launch is getting closer. Google has not confirmed the product, the price or a release date, so everything here should be treated as a leak rather than an announcement.
Fitbit Edge design and specs
The images show a bulbous screen that stretches closer to the edge than on any previous Fitbit tracker, with a Pixel Watch-style face adapted to the new shape. The display shows complications for heart rate, step count and starting a workout, plus the time and date.
On the back, the band removal mechanism sits at the top and bottom, and the sensor stack looks similar to the Fitbit Air, which means Google may reuse the same magnetic charger. Metal strips on the left and right are likely for ECG readings, following the design formula of the Fitbit Charge 6.
- Screen: bulbous display with widget-style complications, smaller than a smartwatch
- Battery: up to 7 days
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi listed, plus Notifications versus the Fitbit Air
- Apps: Google Maps, media and music controls, Find My Phone
